Residence life is an integral piece of the Covenant College experience. Living in community with fellow Christians nurtures strong bonds among students – and creates particular affinity for individual halls as well. Covenant’s residence life program aims to help students develop their identity in Christ, learn and apply a biblical frame of reference, and serve as Christ would serve. With student enrollment consistently growing, the new residence hall - Andreas Hall - is a much-needed campus feature.
Andreas Hall is located between Maclellan Hall and Barnes Gymnasium, thereby better connecting the north and south ends of campus. The 40,000-square-foot structure contains residence rooms for 116 beds, as well as gathering spaces, meeting rooms, a computer lab, laundry facilities, and a resident director’s apartment. Planning is underway for a coffee shop to be located on the first floor. Wireless access is available throughout the building and on the surrounding green space. This new residence hall creates a welcoming south entrance to campus.
Construction began on Andreas Hall in summer 2006, and its first student residents moved into the hall in August 2007.
